SELBST Chile
Formed in 2010 in Venezuela by multi-instrumentalist/lyricist N and vocalist Frozen. N subsequently moved to Chile in 2016.
The first self-titled full-length was released in 2017 with great underground acclaim.
In 2018 N became lead vocalist and the project turned into a fully-fledged live band, taking to the stage for the first time as the next step of their evolution.

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....
